BIO

Hailing from West Cork, Aisling is a writer, editor and proofreader. She graduated with a BA and MA in English, University of Limerick (2010-2015). During this time she worked on the publication of The Ogham Stone. 

 

Aisling was awarded a place on the writer’s workshop run by Dun Laoghaire Arts Office with Writer-in-Residence Sonya Gildea (2023/2024). Her poetry has been shortlisted for The Storms and longlisted for Howl (2023). She has also completed writing courses at The Irish Writers Centre, The Big Smoke Writing Factory and The New School, New York.

 

Aisling received the Professional Development Award from the Arts Council to fund her editorial course at The Publishing Training Centre (2020). She was Co-Editor for Paper Lanterns (2021) and has edited books for Bullaun Press. She was elected as the Communications Officer for the Society of Young Publishers Ireland (2020-2023). She  hosts the open mic at the West Cork Literary Festival and reviews books for Totally Dublin.
