BIO

Hailing from West Cork, Aisling grew up in a picturesque and remote part of the world. She completed her undergraduate degree in English, Media and Communications in 2014, followed by an English MA in UL. During this time she worked on the publication of The Ogham Stone Literary & Arts Journal.

 

While living in New York, she studied publishing at The New School and she edited her first book which was published by BATT Coop in Paris. She received the Professional Development Award from the Arts Council to fund her editorial course at The Publishing Training Centre.

 

Aisling is a member of the Association of Freelance Editors, Proofreaders & Indexers of Ireland and has edited for Paper Lanterns Literary Journal and Bullaun Press. She was elected Communications Officer by the Society of Young Publishers and assisted organizing events with The O'Brien Press, Tramp Press, Lilliput Press and more. Catch her hosting the open mic at the West Cork Literary Festival or book reviewing for Totally Dublin.
